Lexmark P450, Grainy Picture?

Amazon seller "Jason", Amazon
26 September 2011
  • Summary: I read a review someone wrote, the latest. I'm probably not supposed to mention names, so I won't. The statement was made about how awful a printer it was and how grainy the picture is. (That my friends is a crock)! I think whoever wrote this review may want to change his ink cartridge once in a blue moon. I have owned one for a while and the pictures are just as good or better than the drugstore or other developing stations in various stores. JAYCO ENTERPRISE.

Cannot read 2GB or larger memory cards

Mary K. Schmidt "k8tdid", Amazon
19 May 2009
  • Summary: I bought this printer and found out that it would not read my 2GB SD memory card that I use the most. It did read a 1GB SD card though. I contacted Lexmark technical support, and they confirmed that 2GB and larger memory cards will not work, and there is not a fix for the issue. Nothing in the documentation or on their website stated anything about a memory capacity limit. So I am returning the P450 since I need it to read my memory cards.

Very nice for a single function printer

Stehen Vicinanza, Amazon
19 April 2009
  • Summary: I bought this unit over a year ago, and it have been working great ever since. We have an amateur photographer in the family, who does hundreds of photos at a time, and this little unit handles a lot of the printing, quickly and efficiently. The CD ROM door broke, but luckily snapped right back in place with a little coaxing. We use this unit for 4 X 6 prints, only - so we wouldn't be reviewing any other sizes. It was a very good investment for us.

What a rip off!!

J. Williamson, Amazon
8 March 2009
  • Summary: I got this printer because my previous one (Epson) was pulled off the counter and broke..... and because I liked the CD burner. I had read some mixed reviews, but I thought I would try it. I figured it would work okay. Well, I was WAY wrong. I have only owned this thing for 2 months and now it doesn't work at all. I can't even turn it on. During the 2 months that it was working, I wasn't impressed with the picture quality. It didn't meet the standards I was used to.

cd does not work

Michael E. Dorsey, Amazon
21 February 2009
  • Summary: This printer works fine for just printing pictures, however, the cd part does not work. It even does not open to insert a cd. I tried to call customer service for help, but they would not help at all or help me get a manual for it. They just told me that they will no longer offer support for this printer. A company that will not stand behind their products is one I will never deal with again.

OK so far....

Jerry Marshall "5470 tools", Amazon
4 January 2009
  • Summary: I have only used it briefly so far. The instructions seem to differ from what you actually have to do in order to burn a CD. I did finally get it done and tried it in our dvd player and it was fine. The process of burning the CD is slow but with the price of the unit I think it's a good deal. I haven't printed any photos yet as we really bought it for the ease of burning the cd's-instead of using the computer. It is a small unit and you don't need allot of space.

Not a bad printer for the price

at the beach...in my mind, Amazon
26 November 2008
  • Summary: The picture quality is good and prints faster than my previous lexmark photo printer. Having the cd burner in the unit is great for clearing your cards, as well as sharing and backing up your photos. I also love the fact I do not have to be connected to a pc to print or save my photos. Great to take on vacation, especially if you take tons of photos like I do. The con for me is the photos take time to dry so you can't just set it to print and forget it.
