Good printer, but the price is too high

Summary: I bought the Minolta Pagepro 1350W more than 6 years ago at Staples for $100, so I am surprised to find it here at $399. The only differences I can see is that this newer model seems to have a high-capacity paper tray and USB interface, where mine has only a parallel interface. I would check out other brands before buying this. For example, Amazon also sells the Brother HL-2270DW Compact Laser Printer with Wireless Networking and Duplex, for $109.
Summary: This piece of junk comes with such crappy drivers that it only works 1/3 of the time. Worse piece of electronics I ever bought. I normally don't write reviews but I just have to find a way to vent.
Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W Standard Laser Printer

Summary: great printer , good dependable printer , prints only black and white for an office , we use it for spread sheets and it does a wonderful job , this is our second konica , the first one lasted us about 4 years, so for bang for buck , I would say if this one gets four more years for the price it will be great. , good deal, will buy konica again.
Summary: I actually love my printer. BUT- when I upgraded to windows 7 - No was driver available. Not till June. So, although my business has invested over $1000 in toner over the years, plus cost of the printer- they feel no need to support me. It is unrealistic to ask a person to stop all printing at their business for 6 months. Are they trying to force me to throw out my printer and toner and buy a new one? I am losing time and money, because I chose their product.
Summary: After years of throwing away money on barely-used cartridges that were rendered useless by clogged nozzles, I vowed to never again own an inkjet printer and began my search for an affordable laser. I eventually came across the 1350W and picked it up for about $90 (at the time, budget lasers were still hovering around the $200 mark). Here it is, 5 or so years later, still looking and running like new.

Summary: This is the mightiest workhorse laser printer I have ever owned.I purchased my 1st one from a local Office Supply when the first hit the market, for approximately $80 with a starter cartridge, since replaced the drum catridge only with this replacement so I have one for parts. Note: a drum markets approx $189. Compact footprint. UPS, Click-n-Ship, Fed Ex, self stick labels feed effortlessly. There it is.. Fast & Efficient.
Getting toner is a bit sketchy, but otherwise a pretty good printer

Summary: I've had this printer for maybe 4-5 years now, and printed probably a thousand or so pages, I don't know. I have yet to actually expend the toner that came with it, which is awesome considering most printers come with a poor "starter" toner module. Although new toner is a rip off at retail prices, you can find them including the special chip at certain "auction" sites for very reasonable prices.
Great price, last forever, no problems, now own three

Summary: I have bought three of the identical item. All still in excellent running order, just put to work in different locations. Nothing fancy, just gets the job done, clean print, good price on cartridges. Hard to find sometimes, upgraded model is color printer, don't have a clue on that one.
