Text is blurry

Summary: I have used this printer for over a year now on a Mac network. I print engineering reports and photo reports. The photos print out and look great, but the printer lacks in it's ability to print out crisp text documents. On the whole, printed reports are not acceptable to give to clients because the text comes out blurry. It does not seem to matter if it's a .doc, .pdf or .txt, document, the text still comes out blurry. The worst condition occurs when it prints in bold.
Summary: Accepts fairly heavy paper (60-80# if I remember correctly) without significant jamming or print issues. With heavier papers (non Epson) we lose about 10% of prints to print smearing, etc. Not a perfect 'print and forget' product. Required a fair bit of experimenting to find the right marketing portfolio papers that would print well enough.
