Been using mine for almost 2.5 years now...

Summary: Mine has been pretty much flawless. Done buying 2 sets of inkjet cartridges every year; I was only getting about 250 sheets per refill with all the 'cleaning' it was always doing and needing. I got my magicolor 1600w when the price was under $100; I see they finally stopped doing that... too bad. There was only one 'trick' I had to figure out: I had to find and download the 'Remote Printer Panel'.
Excerpt: This is my second 1600W and I am a believer of this product. The lack of instructions about which of the two disks to use to install the software, or downloading a driver were frustrating, and caused delay in getting the printer to start printing.
Pros: Compact Design, Reliable, Sharp tones & colors
Summary: If you are looking for a light duty home office printer you are in the right place. It is wonderful for proofing but not finished work. I also must say if you primarily print on gloss do not buy this! If you primarily work in satin and matte and glossy occasionally this is the perfect printer.
Summary: I was getting tired of buying junky HP color ink printers that end up costing you more money than you care to admit, even under very light duty. In the last 5 years, I've purchased three printers; two HP color inkjets that probably printed fewer than 100 sheets each before having some kind of failure, much less the exorbitant cost of ink refills. Each of them saw very light use: Taxes, restaurant menus, a flyer or two; just your typical printing needs in a household.
Konica Minolta Magicolor 1600w DOES WORK ON MACS!!!

Summary: Like some others, I bought this printer unknowingly as it didn't work for Macs. I just assumed that most if not all printers work for both PCs and Macs but that was not the case. I was very disheartened and felt very dumb for not reading the descriptions more closely but after digging around the internet for a while I found a solution! The problem is the fact that when you try to add this printer in System Preferences -> Print & Scan for this printer there is no driver.
Summary: I have been working with the Konica-Minolta Magicolor 1600W printer for about 3 weeks, and the results have been great. For the money this is the best laser printer one can find. Some minor details you must be aware of: you can´t use photo grade paper (it would melt)so all your images will be printed in regular paper; you´ll need a separate dedicated wall contact for it, it will fail to turn on if you connect it to a shared contact; it´s a little bit noisy and gives off...
Very happy so far. Minor headaches that come with all printers.

Summary: I bought this printer because (1) It was cheaper than most laser printers and (2) I read that one guy's amazing amazon review. What a fantastic chronology over 2 years. Keep it up dude. I've owned this printer for 5 months now. Prints great images. I am not a heavy printer by any means. I use it for the usual document. A few full color pictures here and there. Recently I used it to print full color, dark programs. Quality is really great. No smudges. No lines.
