Good size for home office
10 July 2013
Excerpt: In home use, low volume. The size is very good for an in home office. The print quality is good. Obviously, the toner cartridges are expensive , but that was expected. For a home office that has low volume, it's much better than an inkjet since the toner doesn't dry up.
Summary: It's a good printer out of the box. Prints nicely with good colors, However, try to get real replacement cartridges for it. I guess Konica Minolta is not making them anymore because it's hard to find real ones. The aftermarket/refurbished ones are rated so low I wouldn't risk it.
Excerpt: All in all we had a time with this printer. We had to call the warrenty right away and get a new one. As we could not return it to Adorama without paying as much as we paid for the item to do it. It was shipped broke. It took a week or so before we could even use it, however, it has proven a great machine for the price and we are glad for that.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy To Use, Fast Print Time, Low toner consumption, Reliable, Sharp tones & colors
Summary: Great price. I have bought two for under $100. They come with what is called starter cartdriges that won't last very long. The OEM replacement cartdriges of high quality will cost close to $400. Therefore you would be better of just buying a new printer rather than buying cartdriges, unless you went to cartdriges that were less than OEM in quality.
Summary: There is very little toner in the machine. When it ran out it was difficult (and expensive) to replace. The second time I tried to replace toner, the cartridge would not come out. After a bit of wiggling the machine got jammed - so much that it had to be thrown out.
Summary: I recently got a Magicolor 1600W, and set it up. Screwy problem #1: The instructions are essentially hieroglyphics. There are no words, just pictograms that aren't always as clear as one might prefer. Eventually I got it unpacked and installed, and got the drivers installed. Once installed, the print quality is great, and it prints pretty fast. Not as fast as the big lasers at work, but a lot faster than any inkjet I've ever owned.
Excerpt: Everything seems to work fine except when printing a photo from Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. It sends the printer into an error mode and won't print. I have had to print from Paint but have not tried any other programs. I think I have the latest driver. Firmware upgrade maybe?
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Sharp tones & colors
Summary: Purchased this Printer for my small business end Nov 2012, unpacked just this last week for use. Printer Label state's - MANUFACTURED 2010 , checked with Konica Minolta & indeed this is a 2+ yr old Printer. It is (as stated on box, but not on Amazon Product Information, by Seller - Not compatible with Windows 7, therefore updated driver's required to have it working. Seller should have better information on product description.
