Excerpt: I rarely NEED to use a printer, but when I do I always end up at Kinkos after spending 20 bucks trying to get this one to work. I paid quite a bit for it and now it is a huge money draining desk ornament.
Excerpt: Purchased Kodak 5100- failed on initial set up, Kodak replaced. Replacement broke down every six months (usually eating up 3 sets of ink). Gave up and purchased a ESP3 because I liked the quality - ESP3 no better. Less then a week and photos are awful. Friends purchased Kodak 5100 and have had the exact experience. Overall the printer has cost me more to operate then any other printer on the market.
The Kodak Printer has the cheapest prices for their printer ink.

Excerpt: The Kodak All-in-one printer does a good job printing documents not so good on pictures. I have had to replace the printhead 3 times since I purchased the printer 8 mths ago. For the price it has performed well overall.

Excerpt: After useing several kinds of printers, the Kodack easy share 1500 is the best that I have ever used. It is easy to use, no major, complicated hook ups. The print is clear, the color is prfect. Printing out pictures is easy, and the end product is wonderful. The cost of the ink is one reason that I bought the Kodack easy share. Compared to the other brands that I have had, the Kodack ink last longer, and the cost is easier on the pocket book.
Excerpt: The new kodak 5100 printer is ok. Not as satisfied with this printer as I was with my previous printer, but it does an ok job. This printer is really loud. Photos so far have been good but not fantastic. Does seem to go through ink really fast. Printer seems to be quick. Overall I am quite satisfied, just had really high expectations since I really loved my previous printer.
Excerpt: I love this printer ! you can upload photos so many different ways and takes not 5 minutes from picture to actual photo. The only con I see is that to be able to print from ps you need a seperate 2.0 usb cable that is not included and have to purchase at the kodak site.
Excerpt: I was over the moon when I purchased a new 5100 2 years ago so you can understand how dissappointed I was when within a monthof purchase the printer stopped printing, I took it back to the shop I bought it from and the offered me my money back or an other printer, I have to admit I made the error of thinking that it couldn`t happen twice so I took another 5100, well it did happen again ,the printhead error says the printhead is missing or not working or something to that...
Excerpt: I just got off the phone with Kodak. These printers are defective and they will replace them free of charge. Just follow the troubleshooting steps on their website. The last step informs you to call the 800 number and use code PH01. The kodak rep took my info and is sending out a replacement printer which hopefully has all the bugs removed by now.
Excerpt: I love mine. I am a college student as well as a mother of four. We are constantly printing. The lower cost of the ink was a real selling point for me. The printer is easy to set-up and use. It prints pictures on par with Wal-mart's photo center. I've not yet used the scanner. It is larger than most other printers I've owned. I have recommend this printer to friends and family, and will continue to do so. Overall, a great printer.
