Summary: This is a seven year old printer. The drivers and software are no longer available from HP. It was a great printer in its day but its day are long gone. A printer is also a electronic and mechanical device and I was advised by the largest printer company in the world to never buy a printer that has been sitting in a box for over a year. The printer when made are lubricated at the factory before they are shipped to the customer.
Summary: Software that runs this printer makes MSDOS look like Apple Snow Leopard. I'm presently trying to print one lousy paragraph from Text Edit. The printer has a 10 minute Hissy Fit Light Show, spits out 20 sheets of blank paper, then jams halfway through the paragraph. An absolutely Epic Failure of a machine.
Summary: I previously had another company's large format printer - it was very expensive to operate and was forever in the shop for repairs. This printer is much more user friendly, I love this printer. I can print on media, from 4x6 to 13x19. It was well packaged by the seller in the original carton. It installed easily with the included software. It is just another quality printer from HP (I already have 3 other HP printers).
Summary: I had one of these printers for several years and it just died one day. I needed another just like it because I have another smaller printer that uses the same print cartridges and I have quite a stash of new cartridges for both, so I purchased this one as a replacement. The print quality is excellent and the price on the replacement was perfect. The place I got it from was here in the same state I live in and delivery was fast and reliable.
Summary: I bought my printer nearly two years ago, and for the first 9 months, it ran like a dream. However, I began having some problems when I upgraded to CS2. Suddenly, the printer had no idea what to do with itself... it printed things all over creation and invented it's very own personal set of margins that had little or nothing to do with my presets or the page presets.
Summary: I have read all the reviews of this printer. Wanted a large format printer for 13 x 19 paper. Not sure WHY this size is set for both HP and Epson?? Someone at HP might explain. No negatives for printer cost. Be aware that if you swap or put a new cartridge in this printer--and other HP printers--a Test Page is AUTOMATICALLY printed.
Summary: I have had the HP B8350 for almost a year. It was great out of the box, prints great photos and 11x17 maps within 5 minutes. However, within the past week, this product has a serious problem noted by others. I go to print a photo, make some changes to the print quality and paper, press print, and the light simply blinks. If you check the print queue, it is empty!
Summary: I just bought the HP Photosmart Pro B8350 printer because it was about the only medium format (13"x 19") printer that takes advantage of HP's gray inkjet cartridges - all for a reasonable price. I had no trouble setting it up and printing out a nice test sheet. I was amazed at the results! It looked like fine-grain photo paper - even under a loop - and produced a nice neutral color. I highly recommend this printer.
Summary: This is a good printer and prints very well and on large formats, well ok, medium formats 13 x 19. Others have mentioned some problems with it and I can verify most of them. Some large print files take a long time to load. It seems to print fast once loaded. And the prints are really good quiality prints, especially on good photo paper. The cartridges are not as expensive as some HP printers but they're pretty small and a "brass-bound [...]" to replace!
