Summary: Money out the window. Always gives error message when trying to print envelopes. Takes forever to start printing after self checking, ink level sensor not working (short lived), often shuts itself off during lengthy (perpetual loop, I'm sure) self check. Often shuts itself off when print command is executed. So sad because I'm on a fixed income and can't readily afford to replace it. HP SUCKS.
I could not rate it lower than a one, so I had to choose one.

Summary: The printer does not show what you are printing in the preview. Therefore, anything that you print out has to be printed out on plain paper, and then you have to move your picture over or it will end up off the page. I cannot adjust the alignment to do labels, that is impossible! No matter what you do to adjust it, the printer prints in the same spot. AGGRAVATING!

Summary: Cartridges are way to expensive and we thought fuel was expensive , try about $4700.00 per gallon of this printing ink I'm through with HP they sell the printers cheap and hold you up on their ink . NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!...
Summary: I am fit to be tied. This is my third hp and my last. Each has died while the Epson that I use mainly for pictures but for other things pretty frequently has lasted 10 years! With no warning, it will suddenly decide not to print black anymore. I have tried cleaning print heads, aligning (it always "fails"), I've gone to hp websites to trouble shoot - turn it off, turn it on, restart the computer, unplug everything, start over, clean print heads, align (fails again),...
Summary: Unless you want to spend ungodly amounts of money on ink, don't waste your time. We bought ours off of ebay after reading good reviews on it, for printing our flyers for our business. It prints about 50 before completely running out of ink. I've printed the same flyers on other HPs and they last about 4xs as long. Not only that, but when we used our standard green paper to print, for whatever reason, it changes the black ink to green. WTF!!! I'm selling this think ASAP!
Summary: I read reviews and did a great deal of research before choosing this printer. I had previoously owned an HP printer but switched to Epson because I wanted better photo quality. I went through two Epsons within 15 months so switched back to HP. And indeed this HP did print color photos beautifully. The problem is that it broke in just under five months.
Summary: The print quality is pretty good, albeit VERY noisy, before, during and after the printing process. The CD printing feature is not very useful as your images must come from the HP database instead of a direct print from any of your graphics programs. It also eats up toner at the fastest pace of any printer I have known. Based on the above criteria, I would have given it 2 stars.
