Nice Surprise

Anonymous, Newegg
18 March 2009
  • Summary: My wife loves the direct print from a memory card feature and I can see her using her digital camera more often. Same with my daughter.
  • Pros: Very nice photo output. I bought this to replace my very old but reliable Canon i560 for photo prints only, as I already own the HP 5510 MFC for the kids' school reports, faxing, copying, and other general document usage. I've always loved the fact that with HP printers, you get a new printhead w...
  • Cons: Duplexer is manual; Cartridges are small-ish and therefore may have to replace more often

Incredible printer for the price

Samuel P., Newegg
11 March 2009
  • Summary: It's a substantially heavier printer than what I am used to for personal use BUT the WIFI makes it so it can virtually sit anywhere in your house or home office and be fine. I have little kids and I like the fact that the printer is out of reach ;-)
  • Pros: I bought this printer for the house so we could print pictures and have immediate gratification. I knew that this is a more expensive proposition than sending the pics away to print but after reading reviews on this HP printer I decided to break from my long love with Epson printers and get this ...
  • Cons: nothing.

Great Printer

Anonymous, Newegg
7 March 2009
  • Summary: It's taking me a long time to replace an Hp Photosmart 1315 I purchased many years ago... The unit still functions but is very slow. It was one of the first units that had an lcd screen back in its day 10 years ago. Basic card reader as well. And it printed very well. Although at times quirky.
  • Pros: Although this printer has been on the market since late 2007, it holds pace with printers today. Not many printers have a nice large touch screen. The printer is fast, well laid out and the built in wireless is a wonderful touch. I would grab one of these before they sell out.
  • Cons: At this time I can't honestly find anything to make a bad note about this unit. Great bang for the buck in my opinion.

Excellent photo prints.

Norman B., Newegg
21 February 2009
  • Summary: 3. Directly inserted media (USB or flash cards) must contain files in .jpg basic native format. If you alter the photos and save them as .jpg ICC format or anything other than basic, the printer won't recognize or print them, though it will say files are present.
  • Pros: 1. Very inexpensive initial investment and cost per page is very low with aftermarket paper and ink. An excellent value. 2. Absolutely stunning photo prints which are true to Photoshop/pantone color display. Very vibrant. 3. Easy to set up and use. I set it up using wireless.
  • Cons: 1. Slow 2. The included software is loaded with bloatware, nagware and mostly useless stuff which is very hard to remove. Just load the printer driver.

Awesome photo printer

Floyd R., Newegg
7 February 2009
  • Summary: Highly recommended for home use and some business applications, as long as instant print speeds (like a dye sub printer) is not required. If you do your research, you can get your paper and ink at a price that rivals the corner drug store photo lab.
  • Pros: This is my second printer like this one (I bought the first about two weeks ago). It was a breeze to set up on my wireless network. This was installed on a separate network, and like the first, just no problems at all. I'm a professional photographer and I use my first one in my business for a sp...

great printer for price

Anonymous, Newegg
17 January 2009
  • Summary: Sold printers as a vendor for 5 years for all major manufacturers. For the price, I am impressed. Great print yields, cheap ink, touch screen, wireless and excellent high end photos for less than $100? Yeah, its worth it.
  • Pros: Excellent printer for the price. Wireless takes less than a minute to setup if you know all the settings of your network and dont use MAC address filtering. Photoquality on this printer is the same as any HP that uses the 02 ink. Choose max resolution or best quality and the pictures rival anythi...
  • Cons: HP software is very resource intensive and it takes way too long to install for a stinkin printer. I would have to say the plastic is thin and the printer likes to move alot in print. Other than that, as loud as any other machine. Not a multifunction printer. Dont buy the paper and ink packs. Abo...

Excellent Wireless Color Printer

Rubin V., Newegg
11 January 2009
  • Summary: I bought this printer on newegg (without the bundle) I set it up to use wireless. It was very easy. Do not be fazed by the complexity of the instructions. I only installed the driver - I dint installed the "extras". The printing is fine.
  • Pros: Easy set up (just follow directions step by step) Color Photo printing is amazingly great
  • Cons: Size - it is a tad heavy

User Review

Jeff W., Newegg
7 January 2009
  • Pros: Excellent printer for the money. Does everything that you expect it to and more. I heard several complaints about an excessive setup time but it took only 15-20 minutes from box to my first photo printing. Software isn't the best i've seen, but it does the job (it allows me to use my old print so...
  • Cons: the paper tray could be a little larger to hold more, but this is just being picky.

Can't Beat Built-in Wireless

Donald O., Newegg
5 January 2009
  • Summary: There are defaults to print out notebook paper and graph paper, which is great for the kids, since there are times when the kids run out, the project is due tomorrow and running to the store is always a pain.
  • Pros: I had been looking for a printer with built-in wireless, since I had to move my router to another location and the kids need to print schoolwork from their laptops. I saw this one with a good price break and couldn't be happier. Connecting the printer to my network and the computers to the printe...
  • Cons: No complaints.
