Summary: I purchased this D7460 for my son as a gift to go with the Olympus Stylus 1030 I also gave him. I use an older D7360 and I am very satisfied with the color and overall performance of this machine. So far I have had no problems, but I would advise anyone that if they do encounter problems, get someone's attention quick because I purchased a HP portable printer that died shortly after purchase and I delayed notifing retailer to my regret.
Pros: Compact Design, Durable construction, Easy Setup, Easy To Use
Summary: Nice machine. Compact and somewhat easy to use. Great that it is wireless and has the ability to work without a computer. Can use directly from camera or memory card. Would recommend this machine to anyone who wants to print there own pictures.
Summary: This printer has many uses and features that we were not expecting. The printer uses many different ink colors that will allow you to get better detail in you pictures. Also it prints regular documents quite fast. Plus the ability to print wireless from my laptop is great.
Summary: I am very happy with the D7460 printer. I bought the printer originally for the separate color ink cartridges and wireless capabilities. Replacing the separate ink cartridges as they run out is a big plus. With the rising cost of ink cartridges, it's very beneficial to replace the ink color as needed. The pictures come out great. The viewfinder screen is big and the touchscreen saves all the space which would be filled with complicated buttons on the printer.
Summary: The printer is receiving some bad press regarding photo print quality, but personally, they are comparable to local "one hour photo" prints. They will never match what a professional lab can produce, but can certainly satisfy my needs. Overall quality on printing is very good--photos and text. Speed is fine.
Pros: Easy to set up and many features that allow for printing direct from cards, cameras and even downloading card images to the computer. Text printing is excellent and relatively fast (I'm not in a race).
Cons: Ink consumption is absurd. I purchased this to avoid the ink consumption of an Epson based on reviews of the Epson. As a result, the Epson must DRINK the stuff. In the last 10 days I have replaced a black, yellow and dark magenta. I have printed NO photos and about 100 pages of text and my black is down to about 1/3 remaining with yellow and dark magenta near zero. I'm going back to my HP 5740...and send my images to a lab; it'll be cheaper.
