Summary: Let me start off by saying if you need a photo printer this one is good. The prints come out great. They are very high res for an inkjet at this price point. But the quality doesn't stop at photo paper, it prints great documents on sheet paper, transparencies come out good, as well as on card stock. (however be aware, the printer does not like to feed card stock on its own, so you have to help it along.) That being said I've never had a jam. NOT ONCE!
Summary: I waited a while for the price to come down on these and when it finally did, I jumped. My brother already owned one and he has done a ton of research before buying so I felt sure of my purchase. And what a great printer. I have only had it for a short while, but the color is fantasitc and it is so easy to use. I have used the computer application as well as slipping in a disc to print and both work great.
Summary: The price is falling and this is worth every penny. I needed to replace my printer in a hurry, and despite the set up time, I was very happy. This prints pics and docs well. Very useful. Many extras.
Summary: I bought this printer from a Brick and mortar vendor. This printer's prints are pristine - excellent quality prints from this printer for the price. While I haven't tried printing anything in B&W like resumes this printer lives up to its photo printer heritage. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that printing 8X10 isn't as intuitive as it should be.
Summary: There are so many printers on the market that are doing a solid job, and the Photosmart D7260 is one of them. I have not had a single problem with this unit. The touchscreen is intuitive and sharing this printer over the network couldn't be simpler. It's got support for several different flash cards although I rarely use them. I can only give this unit 4 stars though because these companies should be put in jail for what they charge us for ink. It's a crime.
Summary: I'll be honest -- when I brought this home and got ready to install it on our home network, I was fully prepared for an afternoon full of tweaking firewall settings, going through weird and archaic menu on my router, maybe sacrificing a chicken to the ethernet gods, and so on. So you can imagine my surprise when everything actually worked. Like, on the first time. Everything went so smoothly, that I actually figured I must have done something wrong.
Excerpt: I bought this because I wanted a network attached printer with an auto double sided capability and I wanted good colour printing. OK, the double sided bit works fine usually, the colour printing is good unless you want to print photos!! The netwoprk support is absolutely appalling. I'm running several computers with XP Pro and Win 7 64 bit. The XP machines, by and large, work OK with the printer but the Win 7 HP SP!
Pros: Double sided printing
Cons: Lousy software, poor print quality for photos !
Excerpt: HP Photosmart D7260 Inkjet I bought this printer mainly to print photo’s. On opening the box i was instantly enthralled with the in built card readers. There is no need for a computer, as you can choose and edit your pics on an all be it small screen, but a screen none the less! The look of this printer is a bit... square? it is quite big and bulky, and needs its own space in a room!
Pros: Fast printing, Ink gauge, Touch screen, Built in card reader
