Conclusion: The HP Photosmart 8750 Professional Photo Printer is designed to produce high-quality photos in sizes up to 13 by 19 inches. It succeeds in that mission. It can also function as an all-purpose printer, but isn't really meant to be used that way.
Pros: High-quality photos. Maximum 13- by 19-inch paper size. Prints directly from memory cards and PictBridge cameras.
Cons: Relatively slow. Text and graphics quality on plain paper varies significantly depending on which ink cartridge is loaded.
Summary: The HP Photosmart 8750 is an easy to use and very well-built 9-colour inkjet printer that delivers great image quality, producing fantastic colour and black and white prints straight out of the box on matt, satin and glossy papers. HP's ICC profiles seem to be extremely accurate - there is no need to spend endless amounts of time or money on profiling to obtain accurate prints with the HP Photosmart 8750 (at least on HP's own range of papers).
Summary: HP's Photosmart 8750 inkjet printer is the most affordable A3 printer on the market that produces long-lasting, prints that are good enough to exhibit or sell. Initially, its sheer size is daunting, although its weight is similar to the Epson R2400. However, you can't fairly compare these two printers as the Epson is twice the price of the HP model. Not surprisingly, the 8750 is slightly noisier and we had more problems with paper jams and incorrect loading. . .
