Summary: Since this is one of HP's older Photosmart printers, customers will likely be looking at it from third party sellers, either new or used, so I thought it would be helpful to report on how this printer works four years after purchase. And yes, it still works. Pros: separate ink cartridges so you don't have to buy them all when you run out of one color; high quality prints; a great menu with features that allow layout changes directly from the printer; two trays, for 8x10s...
Summary: I have had a HP Photosmart 8250 Digital Photo InkJet Printer since 2006. It has been very reliable and delivers nice prints. My original printer finally gave out and bought another one is used condition because of how reliable the printer has been.
Summary: This photo printer is also easy to use when printing regular stuff, like documents, web pages, etc. The printer's performance is nice, including the fact that you can insert your camera's memory card (CompactFlash, SanDisk, MS, or XD) directly into it for printing. However, the ink is very expensive, and for this, it's definitely worth getting a Staples® Rewards account and bringing in old ink cartridges.
Summary: I just picked this printer up, because it was pretty inexpensive. Boy, did it blow my socks off. As far a print quality goes, this was very good. I gave old pictures to family members for Christmas, and they all enjoyed them thoroughly. It was also very easy to install. I just plugged it in, and Windows 7 did the rest. Overall, a very good quality, low priced product. I also enjoy the Vivera inks that can be bought individually instead of all in one cartridge.
Summary: I thought I would write a review now that I have used this printer ALOT for the past 10 months. My hubby gave the HP photoprinter 8250 to me for my birthday in October 2006. This printer is fantastic as far as set up, ease of use, and quality of photos. I now only use the software that comes w/ the printer to edit and organize all of my photos! It's so easy to use!
