Summary: We were looking for a 2nd HP Photosmart 8050 Printer because we have been satisfied with the one we've had for a couple years, and wanted to use the same print cartridges with both of the printers. We didn't want one of the space-eating printers that are so common (and relatively inexpensive) now. This delivered quickly, was as represented, and was a decent value (or we wouldn't have ordered it). No complaints, satisfied customer.
better be made of money to keep this printer running!

Summary: I think the reason these printers are going so cheap on ebay is because they are really expensive to use. Don't get me wrong now, the printer works great if you can afford the ink and all the accessories. This is a lesson learned, it's not a very economical printer to own unless you can find someone who has the hook up on the accessories.
Summary: Even if the paper tray has enough papers in it, it says "Out of paper, load paper ...". I have wasted hours on this stupid issue. Seems as if some kind of sensor does not work - what a waste of money and time (sigh...) I am not unfamiliar with techies, computers, scanners, printers etc. (my warranty period has expired too). Folks looking for HP Photosmart 8050 - its a nice printer while it works, but don't go for it, its a trouble in slightly longer term.
Summary: I bought this for my wife so she could print high quality pictures of our new grandson. Within minutes of setting it up she was printing away. It is easy to use and frankly does as good if not better job than with professional print shops. For the price you can not go wrong with this product.
Summary: This was a great printer, I used it for many greeting cards. When I put in the regular good quality paper, it would jam. If you fed it a sheet at a time, it was fine. I was printing about 20 sheets, on the 3rd sheet, it jammed and I couldn't remove the paper. After taking the back off, it still did not want to come out. Finally it did, but a small piece of plastic came out to. Doesn't look broken off, but paper will not come out evenly.
Summary: I had one before that broke. It was easiest just to buy the exact same model. It is a decent printer except for its envelope feeding capabilities (which stink). If you need to print lots of envelopes I recommend getting a printer that does NOT wrap the envelope around the drum but feeds them through straight while it prints.
