Summary: Received as a gift. Have had this unit for a number of years. Cartridges are used up rather quickly. Decided to retire my unit although still operational. I now have the Canon Pixma 3220, a much more versatile and efficient unit. The price as quoted is very, very high for the HP 385...it was much cheaper years back. Today, you can get a printer with more features for less money.
Summary: I was very disappointed when I tried to use this item, HP 385 Photo Printer, I know it wasn't a new item, but said like new, but when I tried to print with it, I printed 2 photos and wasted lots of paper because the pictures come out red & green mess !!! I had to go to Wal-mart and buy a new ink cart, which cost 31.87. I feel that someone needs to replace my money on the ink cart.
Summary: The printer was shipped in a timely manner. It seemed to be a new printer. ut there was no ink as stated in the package. This was my first experience with shopping on ebay. It wasn't a good one. My husband talked to the sell of the printer and he said he would shipped ink to us. We are still waiting for it.
Summary: If I fix the image on my computer, copy the image to a CF card, and use the card print the image, the printer complains "Cannot display this photo". It doesn't print it either. I really don't want to connect this printer to my computer. Another HP printer connected to the printer prints the picture fine. All pictures are in simple JPEG format. HP Service was absolutely worthless. The only suggestion I got was to "change the power source".
Summary: the picture quality was fantastic...for the first 50 pictures, then message came up "cartridge running low" thought this was a gimmick to get me to buy another cartridge before i needed it,but no,sure enough 10 photos later all photos were purple.i wish i had never bought because now i have to pay to send it back.good buy if you dont mind spending $28.95 for new cartridge VERY often.
