Summary: This was bought to replace an ink jet printer and so far it looks great. It was refurbished and shows minor signs of previous use but nothing that affects performance. The print quality is good and the toner cost should be much lower than the ink cartridges that the old printer used.
Summary: This is a printer I had in the past. I wanted another as it prints quickly quietly and effeciently. If you need a B&W printer that does what I say above this is it! Toner is cheap now. This is truely a work horse.
DON'T BUY THIS PRINTER UNTIL THERE IS A WINDOWS 8 DRIVER

Summary: I've used my HP P1505 Laserjet quite happily for about 18 months. It was cheap to buy, and is much cheaper to use than an ink printer for B&W materials. It is robust and reliable. However, HP have not yet released a Windows 8 Driver for the P1505, which makes it unusable with any PC running Windows 8. They've been promising the driver for months, but it's still not here.
Summary: No windows 8 drivers !!! I have win8 pro full version, installed on empty HDD. I looked like crazy for drivers for p1505. A-a. However my old G4010 HP scanner has drivers for win8, downloaded, installed, checked, worked perfectly. In win8 pro full I tried to add printer manually and updated the printers and drivers from windows update and guess what: they have the new printers, so at least they will have an operating system driver for their new laser printers, even if...
Summary: We own 8 of these in our business and they have a long life, the print quality is clear and neat. The only downfall is the replacement cartridge is way overpriced (OEM). The non-OEM is a shot in the dark for quality. Stick with the OEM and use the product at "tonerrefillkits.com"; and it will drop your price to 20-30 buck for each refill.
Summary: The printer initially worked OK. Then I got a new computer, with Windows 7 as the operating system. Windows says it does not recognize the device. I download up-to-date printer drivers from HP, the printer works for a while, and then the problem recurs. As my HP warranty had expired before I got Windows 7, HP has been unwilling to provide help.
