Summary: Having tossed my ink drinking Canon out the window, I thought I would return to HP. Reliable, not superb print quality like a good Epson, but fast. Unfortunately, the paper feeding device of this HP is clumsy and apparently pretty backward.
Summary: It's fast, clean, and it's not a terrible cartridge-eater (like my Canons have been). That's what is good about this printer. It grabs blank pages all the time, no matter what paper is used (perhaps because it's so aggressively fast), it is temperamental, oversized, accessing and changing the paper...
WARNING !!! 13 Firmware Updates speak for themselves
6 May 2006
Summary: Firmware is a small piece of software the manufacturer of a product like this includes in one of the many chips in an electronic device. The firmware controls - sometime in conjunction with the products driver software - how the product works.
Excerpt: Print quality excellent, speed excellent, but it has a habit of grabbing more than one sheet of paper quite often and this throws everything out. I am quite disapointed with mine and to be honest no longer trust it to print large quantitys unwatched
Excerpt: This is the fastest printer I've ever had (after canon ip4000, Epson r340 and brother dcp110). I print 500+ pages per month and this hp printer is ideal for this purpose. Its a little on the large side and make considerable noise so potential buyers might want to take this into account.
Pros: Fast, Laser Quality, cheap to run, Optional Duplexer, Extra paper tray
Cons: Large and quite noisy . Also doesnt like paper below 80gsm
Summary: This is the fastest printer I've ever had (after canon ip4000, epson r340 and brother dcp110). I print 500+ pages per month and this hp printer is ideal for this purpose. its a little on the big side and make considerable noise so potential buyers might want to take this into account.
Summary: For general office use this printer is very quick, and fairly quiet, it is pretty large though. I chose this this printer to produce runs 20-50 colour leaflets often printed both sides on 90-100gsm inkjet paper: a task which many other printers manage with ease.
