Local Dallas Liquor Store Records Record Earnings

Juana W., Newegg
10 March 2009
  • Summary: Setting up the printer's uses and various printing functions is a mine field and would drive Carrie Nation to drink. It fights you at every turn. You try to generate a profile for a particular application and fine.
  • Pros: Software to set up the printer worked flawlessly. I wanted to use it as a home network printer and thought maybe I needed to use the USB install first and then the network one later. Nope. The setup asks how you want to use it and you tell it and then it sets it up. My Actiontec gateway (FIOS) an...
  • Cons: I got the extended warranty and tried to register online only to be told by the website that those numbers on the warranty card were invalid. Please try calling customer support instead. I tried that very thing only to get hung up on, shunted, and otherwise given the shuffle. Eventually I was abl...

Any problems are my own fault...

Doug A., Newegg
1 March 2008
  • Summary: I bought this printer because Consumer Reports said its $/page print costs were among the cheapest available. I went ahead and bought it, then printed 200 full color Christmas cards. This worked well, but sucked every drop of ink out of all four cartridges that came with it.
  • Pros: I love the quality and the speed. Plus, it was inexpensive (for initial purchase).
  • Cons: Minor problem: This thing prints so fast that the (somewhat heavy) print heads slam from side to side. When I first set is up, I had it on a cheap table that couldn't absorb the weight shifting back and forth.

Pretty solid printer.

  • Summary: Pretty solid printer. I usually print documents in the economy mode and the quality is reasonable and fast. It is a bit loud and took quite awhile to set up. I have been using it for about a month with no problems.

Great Inkjet

Ron Hoffman, Amazon
3 December 2007
  • Summary: For the price this printer is great, it is very fast and does not appear to be an ink hog. The only thing that some may not like is, it is very noisy

Printer Review

Larry E. Langer, Amazon
3 December 2007
  • Summary: Was a bit shocked that the new product order didn't come in the original packaging. The printer parts were loosely packed. Install went fine. I believe the product was new and unused.

Used in my office at work

Amazon Customer, Amazon
3 December 2007
  • Summary: We have this printer at the office to use for our publications and mailings. It is used by 20+ people on a daily basis. It seems to go through ink quickly, but with so much use that is expected. The IT guy installed it, but as far as I know he didn't have any issues.

Solid performer.

Cville Dude, Amazon
3 December 2007
  • Summary: Out of the box the K5400 is much bigger than I anticipated. I added the duplex tray as well and am amazed at the size. Let me quickly say this is a solid buy and I've been very happy. It isn't for printing photos but it will print high quality documents very quickly.
