Excerpt: I have been using the HP Officejet Pro 8600 for about a year and I have been very happy with it. It is an all-in-one unit and has great speed and quality. I needed another printer for a second location so I bought the HP® OfficeJet Pro 8100 Printer because it is also built well and uses the same ink cartridges as the HP Officejet Pro 8600. It is just a printer but it does a great job. I printed a photo enlarged to full page and the color rendition was great.
Excerpt: Easy to set up, even with wireless. We have two computers, four smartphones, and a tablet, with this printer everyone can print on the same printer. Color is very good for regular printing, but have not tried it on photos yet.
Excerpt: My old HP printer was not compatible with Window 8.1, but that's another issue! This new HP OJ 8100 is great, easy hook up, both wireless (my choice) or wired. I chose wireless because I also have a laptop; and the WI-FI feature allows me to use the printer no matter where I am at. Would I recommend this printer to someone, the answer is yes.
Summary: I was, at first dismayed that the Pro 8100 did not seem to print envelopes. But I had been used to placing the envelop to the right side of the printer bin. There may be a way to do that, however, I discovered that lining the envelope up with the center of the bin worked perfectly. I print envelopes all the time now. I do not understand the previous reviewers concerns with the print. My Pro 8100 does what, to me, appears to be a great job.
Excerpt: I didn't know how good this printer was going to be since it was only a little over a hundred dollars. But to be perfectly honest, the quality is great, the printing is super fast, and not to mention the slick modern design. If I had to recommend a printer to someone for a great price, it would definitely be this one. Another great feature is the built in WiFi.
Summary: Works great and is wireless which is a great application. The reason I bought it is because my Canon MP 960 went on the blink. One of my brother's surf friends recommended it. One thing though, is when you go to Print, it just gives the SAVE option or CANCEL option. Where is the PRINT option? I have to use the (Ctrl + Shift + P) option to get the print box up, instead of a LINK. That's my only grudge so far with it. Seems to be the latest technology buzz.
