Summary: I purchased an Officejet Pro 8000 wireless printer and it was a major job to set it up. The printer lost contact with the router on several occasions and I had to go through tech suport to get it up and running again. One call lasted 96 minutes before they could figure out the problem.
Black Cartridge supplied is out of ink at 255 page count
25 January 2011
Summary: They advertise 900-1000 page yield for HP 940 cartridges but my black cartridge which came with printer showing low ink at 255 page count. All those pages printed are mostly black and while on legal size paper in standard mode. Color cartridges are showing half empty with almost no color printing.
Summary: This is a nice, inexpensive inkjet printer and overall I would say it's definitely worth the price. The print quality is very good and having built-in wireless makes it a snap to set it up where you want it, not just where the cables will reach.
Summary: This printer is very fast and has very good features. My main complaint is the fact that it has a very long setup time when you turn it on. It crunches and grinds and sounds like it's going to fall apart, a feature which I never saw in any of the previous 4 HP Printers I have owned.
Summary: I bought this in impulse when it was on deep discount at Staples. Maybe it's because it was a floor model or something but I printed about three times over the course of a few months and then it needed more ink. And the ink for this costs a fortune.
Summary: $138.98 - 104.50 for replacement ink tanks = a $34.48 printer. The paper jams sometimes with 2-sided printing. The color ink evaporates even though printing with black only. The printer looses the connection sometimes and will have to reboot and start over to print.
Summary: For whatever reasons the printer never seems to understand it's full of paper, it doesn't matter what kind of paper, it doesn't matter how much you put in, for every job the printer thinks it's out of paper.
