Summary: So after using this thing for about 3 weeks Ive made up my mind on the HP470wbt.I am going to keep it as this is the smallest most mobile printer out there today. However, I am fairly disappointed in the features. This thing is loud when it prints it sounds as if it is ready to blow a gasket. It shakes-rattles and rolls, this isnt a dance though and I was looking for something that had more of an ability to remain calm and collected.
Summary: My wife had the H470 without the WBT - works great except for an occasional paper jam. So I bought the H470wbt for my personal office use. Lo & behold, the wifi adapter was not included. Evidently I missed the fine print. I'm using the direct usb hook up for now. When it works, it does fine. However, for no known reason it stops printing. Then a few hours or a day later it suddenly starts working again. It also jams & clearing a paper jam is not easy.
Horrible Installation Instructions for Bluetooth Connection
1 December 2009
Summary: My "ease of use" rating is only because of the lousy instructions and support. Great printer for my needs, but getting it installed for a Bluetooth connection was not explained well at all! I called HP which was of no help - when I say lousy support; reaching them was not the issue. They had me install and uninstall it 3 different ways that in the end were completely unnecessary; and it still didn't work. Now that I've figured it out on my own, I'm happy with it...
Summary: The HP H470wbt is HP's answer to the "on the go" printer. If you haven't read the spec you will see this particular incarnation comes with a battery for on the road use. The battery is charged while on the printer much like a laptop. The overall quality of print is passable but not top of the line nor a good choice if you want nice photo-quality prints. However, if you need to print normal text or perhaps a page from the internet, it does fine.
