Summary: This printer did not last at all - It was not my primary printer, and it lasted less than two reams of paper. I had had it long enough so it was out of warrenty, so now I have a useless printer and ink cartridges that I have no use for. It should have been a MUCH better printer for what it cost.
Summary: So my work purchased three of these printers. One of them didn't work right out of the box. The cartridges jammed immediately. The second printer worked for about a week before it would jam and the ink quality came out poor. It is amazing how awful this printer is. It's very cheaply made and I'm astounded at the price for this printer.
Summary: It baffles me that this product is nearly $700. I have had two HP printers and both had malfunctions within the first month of purchase. In my experience both products were a waste of money due to their unreliability and malfunctions from the beginning of their product life. I would recommend purchasing a higher quality printer, even if it is a steeper price. Trust me, it would be worth it. Due to the size of this printer it is very limited in its functions as well.
Summary: Got this HP printer and an HP laptop brand new as a "bonus" from work about 18 months ago. It works okay with the laptop's Windows 7 OS, but has three big problems otherwise: 1) it cuts off the bottom of a printed page 50% of the time. 2) it refuses to print at all 50% of the time until we turn it off/on a few times and send document to print again (with 2 minutes of it making noises and "thinking") until it decides to print, even with brand new ink cartridges installed.
Summary: I bought this to print invoices from my mobile veterinay truck 2 or 3 yrs ago and have had problems from the beginning. In fact, this is the third printer that HP has sent me to correct it's quirky flaws. It runs off my onboard inverter and it also has a battery. However it takes almost a minute for it to run through it's "set/spool up" mode before it prints. Once an invoice is sent to print, it almost always gives a "printer stalled" message.
HP 470 is a piece of crap. I fought with it for over a year!

Summary: HP 470 is a piece of crap. I fought with it for over a year! It is difficult to install or diagnose. It takes forever to decide if it wants to print (or not). If it does print, it's slow. Totally stops printing when it thinks any one of the colors or black is low - I should have the option to keep printing; not be overruled by a stupid machine! It doesn't like refilled cartridges. Never did get wireless to work.

Summary: I have always been happy with HP printers. I was excited about getting the H470, due to its compact size. Since I was going to be on the road for a month, I had it shipped to my son in NY so that it would be ready for me when I got there. It installed nicely and the test page printed beautifully. Then, when I tried to print documents from my computer, it would not work. 11 hours on the phone with two different techs at DELL, and they could not get it to work.
Summary: The last driver update was January 2010. The current drivers do not work at all with Windows 7 Ultimate. I spent hours on the phone with HP customer support and no one could get it to work. It wasn't until it was escalated to level 2 support that HP admitted that it doesn't work with my operating system. By this time it was past the 21 day return window so I am stuck with an expensive doorstop. Beware!
