Summary: TOTAL & COMPLETE RIP OFF!!! Warning: This printer was specifically and purposely designed to force you to spend tons of money replacing colored ink, which I don't ever, ever use! This is how the scam works ( an HP customer service rep explained this to me on the phone): Every single time you print...
Summary: Worst. Printer. Ever. I am shocked they even sell this piece of crap. It literally goes through a complete ink check and configuration something-or-other check before it will print one single item.

Summary: I got totally suckered by some underpaid Staples con-man into buying this thing about a year ago. Now, countless ink cartridges later, I have vowed to throw it out and never buy anything at Staples ever, ever again. Wish I had read the other reviews before I bought it.

Summary: This is the biggest POS printer I've ever owned. I got sick of cooking through color cartridges every few weeks, so I changed it over to print in only black and white. The printer still thinks it is depleting color ink on the regular, even though the color cartridges have never been used.
Summary: I purchased this HP Officejet 6100 for our family to use. I have always favored HP printers in the past. That has changed. This printer will not print a B&W document even though it has PLENTY of black ink, if one of the colored ink cartridges is low.
Summary: If I could give this printer less than 1 star I would. I WISH I would have read the reviews before buying this useless printer. It takes a good 5-10 minutes every time you try to print a SINGLE page.
Summary: Worst HP Printer ever. I work in prepress, I've used HP devices from humble inkjets to huge large format design jets. They've gotten worse and worse as the years have gone on, on all fronts. This unit takes the cake though.
Runs out of color ink and then won't let you pring in B/W

Summary: Do not buy this printer! I don't even print in color but it somehow uses color ink to calibrate etc etc and when that ink runs out it forbids you to even print in black and white. Do not buy this! It is a pain and I have not found a work-around.
Summary: This printer is so frustrating. I went from an efficient, user-friendly HP to this POS. It takes between 3-5 minutes to begin printing, and half of the time doesn't recognize when I print. I switched from wireless to the cord and it still takes just as long to print.
