Summary: This printer does an excellent job of printing, but it is loud and takes a long time to set up to print after not being used for awhile. I highly recommend the XL Black cartridge, or you will be changing it all the time! (Costco carries these for the best price I have found).
Summary: We purchased the HP OfficeJet 6000 as a back up. We already own the OfficeJet6000 and were having trouble with it printing and thought it may be the printjets. We had just purchased new ink and needed another printer to fit those cartridges. We do alot of printing and this printer has outlasted others we have purchased.
Summary: I have had this printer now for better than a year. It continues to function in a workman like manner. It is not fast and print quality is about average for the market. However it does have several things in its favor. First is that it is fairly inexpensive. Second is that it is wireless and therefore great for several computer family. Third is that it is one of the few inkjet type printers that has two sided capability.
Summary: First the bads, it's loud when it starts, and takes a while between starting the printer and actually getting to print something, and ink isn't cheap, but it's really not a bad printer. The quality of photos is fantastic, and the setup was easy, just read the instruction book if you're lost, and you'll be able to set up your printer wirelessly. When I did, my Mac picked it up and installed drivers for me so I can just print.
Summary: Arrived timely. When assembled did not print right. Spent a lot of time using self correction advice included. Sent complaint to HP help. They sent a replacement print head bracket and new inkjet cartridges. Installed them and it has worked promptly and flawlessly since. Very satisfied with its performance and quality.
Summary: I bought this printer on my mother's recommendation and because hers prints top quality photos. It was easy to set up and prints well. The photos I've done so far look perfect. The printer is a bit noisy but I'm not bothered by that.
Summary: I got this printer for my kids but installed it as a network install and made it available to all the computers in the house. They wanted a color printer and not the old Laserjet 5 workhorse I'd given them a few years ago. I chose this because it used separate tanks for each ink color. Print quality is good for an inkjet on plain paper. I haven't tried photo paper and probably won't since I have a dedicated photo printer.
