Summary: avoid. turn away. don't even look at it. (1) WIRELESS schmireless. Bought this printer for it's wireless feature. However, you MUST store this printer RIGHT NEXT TO your wireless router. The printer cannot be more than 2 feet away from it, or it won't get a signal. So if you plan to put the printer in another room that is more than 2 feet away from where the cable/modem/router is actually hooked-up, you're doomed.

Summary: This printer does indeed print high quality when it will print and will generally do it faster than a $29 cheapo print. But do anything beyond normal copy paper and this is a big piece of junk. It will not print envelopes, will not print card stock.

Summary: The previous model I owned worked very well. I bought this one on 2/14/2014, and now am getting "backend failed" messages and no prints. When I go to HP online, it tells me the warranty end date was 2011-11-10. When purchasing, there was an option for buying a two year warranty, but there was no alert that the product had no warranty at all!

Summary: My color printer did not power up though switched on. Called and talked HP customer services (strong accents) twice this week. NO Help from HP. I was told the followings: 1) HP discontinued this model several years ago therefore does not support this model now, 2) Since I bought this printer from Amazon.com in late April 2012, HP will not be responsible, 3) HP guys said the problem is firmware issue and can not be repaired, The power to the printer is through its...
Summary: I am also having color alignment issues after several years of use. This equipment is too expensive to just be disposable after several years. On top of that, HP charges $250 for a full replacement set of toner. Stay away from this printer and HP products.

Summary: I have bought many HP printers. This one is slow, slow, slow. It is constantly re-calibrating, cleaning, initializing.... everything but printing. To make it even easier to HATE, the replacement cartridges cost as much as the printer itself! What a pain in the neck. I will be using it as a B & W printer until I replace it entirely. (I just put in a new black cartridge and it has been "initializing" for at least 5 minutes - UGH!!!
Summary: The printer was decent for the first 2 years then it started printing with vertical lines(Alignment problem). Called HP and they said there is a known problem that cant be fixed. Then they tried to sell me another printer..... Haha. Not really going to buy a printer from a company that knows it was selling faulty products and wont replace them. It's time to try a name known for quality.....Canon.
HP Laserjet Pro CP 1525nw - worst printer i've ever owned
12 January 2014
Summary: This printer is a disaster. I've owned this printer for almost two years, and every day i rue the day I purchased it. The driver fails and has to be reinstalled constantly, until one day, it will not longer reinstall. Finally had to install a universal HP driver to communicate with the printer. It constantly initializes itself which takes an inordinate amount of time and very often occurs during printing of pages of the same document sent as one print job to the printer.
Summary: The printer didn't work when it arrived. The paper got jammed every time it printed. We contacted the company who sent us the way to send it back for another one, however we haven't received it yet.
