Summary: I've bought a bunch of these for my organization. They are a great value in size, cost, and economy of toner. I love them and hope they live long, healthy lives like the HP LaserJet 4000's I've owned in the past.
Summary: Pros include smaller footprint, really fast printing, clear documents (we do black/white only), successful installation by a novice like me, easily operated separate tray for printing envelopes special papers, etc., and easy network connections. The only cons are the small capacity paper tray and what I have come to recognize as HPs "good but somewhat confusing" installation instructions.
Summary: The printer came three days earlier than I expected. I used mine on a home network. I followed the instructions (new concept for me). Once I set it up and connected it to the network I installed the software. The software found an update available so I downloaded that. It took a while. Set up couldn't have been easier. My computer found it on the network and that was about it. It prints quickly. Duplex is a manual duplex.
Summary: It seems as if this model is being withdrawn as I can't find it now on other sites. I just purchased mine new, but after installation of the printer driver, my computer has started crashing with the Blue Screen of Death indicating a driver conflict. HP Support has been putting me through a number of tests for over four weeks (including sending a replacement printer for an experiment), and loading the printer and its software on an XP machine indicated the clear HP...
Summary: Works great, received it pretty fast and was a great price. Really easy to setup on a network. The initial toner went empty pretty fast, but they appear to be very reliable. We have about 5 of them now, and as older LaserJets wear out, I plan on replacing them with this model.
Summary: Easy to set up, except I only give four stars because I had trouble with wireless setup. Otherwise, really fast, reliable, quiet, professional quality. I've read reviews of other products that talk of various hassles. This one has none.
Summary: I had been using a HP 5000 since 2000. That machine had a sensor go. The cost to replace was the cost of this printer. This is really quiet. I had also purchased about 10 of these for my office as well.
