Excerpt: I liked the fact is printed so fast and the quality of printing was good, but unfortunately I had to return it. The cost of the ink and toner was too far out of reach compared to the printing I would have to do. Went with a lesser machine in price of ink replacement.
Summary: It is very difficult to use. It is hard to set a default format and worse yet, you cannot cancel the job. I tried to print 50 pages of double sided color a 3-fold flyer. It keeps getting the format wrong. I tried to cancel the job. It cannot be canceled once the job goes through the que. I finally figure out a way of stopping wasting expensive toner by unplug the power. The "Cancel" button does not cancel the multiple page printing job.
Excerpt: The jury is still out. This printer replaced a HP 2025. This printer is cheaper then the estimated cost to repair the HP2025. The print quality is very good. Very happy with the color printing as well as two-sided printing. Not very happy with the setup. Numerous problems setting up even when connected via USB cable.
Excellent printer if you only want to print letter-size or smaller

Summary: The legal extension of the onboard paper tray extends to the front of the printer, making it look like there is a problem or that you've forgotten to close the drawer, which is very unprofessional looking. The same situation exists when the additional paper tray is connected and set to legal. If HP had only designed a cover...
Printer + Ink -- You can't rate one without the other.

Summary: As you can expect from HP printers, this one works flawlessly - over and over. I rated this a 3 however, because HP doesn't even provide full cartridges. That's a slap in the customers face - even though you are notified in advance at the time of order the cartridges are less than full. Did you ever buy a new car with a quarter tank of gas? And even worse, you are almost forced to buy the HP branded ink cartridges at the most absurdly high prices on earth.
Excerpt: Support for Mac is poor. Took four days of waiting. Wireless is a little finicky. Sometimes have to turn the printer off to get a form feed. May not be the HP of old; service certainly wasn't. Except once you get to work with a tech, they are knowledgeable. Print quality is okay, warm up time cold be faster.
Summary: I bought this as a replacement for the office when our old b/w HP 2300 finally gave in after almost 9 years of service. In my opinion, HP makes good quality, solid laser printers, but their software leaves a lot to be desired, being cumbersome, slow, bloated and buggy. Indeed, this printer delivers excellent quality prints in both b/w and color. Prints are razor-sharp and colors are vibrant.
Careful on the install or will be horribly Slow. 2 pages per minute
7 February 2013
Summary: I installed this printer using HP drivers from their website and was shocked that a full color page was only printing at about 2 pages per minute. It prints a page, then waits 30 seconds and then prints another. HP Support is horrible. No phone number, can't find live chat. Just had to send an email and wait and wait and wait. I gave up on support and uninstalled everything and logged into the printer itself from the IP address and installed the drivers from there.
Summary: UPDATE ------------------------- Contacted the seller - PCNation - regarding returning the product. They pushed me off to HP to get a case number. Not exactly what I was expecting when I purchase from an Amazon reseller. Talked with HP Technicians and they ran me through 30 minutes of diagnostics, which produced no results. However, during that process, I spotted a small piece of paper in the roller in the back door of the machine.
Summary: In the past I have always used Dell printers, but I took a chance on the HP LaserJet Pro 400 color Printer M451dw, and could not be happier for the decision! I run a small business that produces a small/medium output of printed material. This HP printer not only keeps up with my demand, the quality is excellent too. I used to have trouble printing on envelopes, and postcards, but not any more. This HP has printed everything that I have thrown at it.
