Summary: While this is a great printer and would normally have earned 5 stars from me, I am giving it only two. This is because after spending as much on this printer as we did, I would not expect to have to immediately upgrade the memory. The memory that ships with the unit is woefully inadequate, even for printing 1 - 2 page documents. It would cost HP pennies to ship this printer with at least 256 Mb of memory and save a lot of customer aggrevation!
Summary: We bought two of these printers for the firm I work at, a relatively small office of around 100 people. The build quality feels cheap, and while it does create good quality prints, two big factors make it unsuitable as an office printer. The biggest problem is the print speed and the efficiency in which it uses its built in memory. Printing a smaller document is no problem as the printer prints in the speed that is advertised.
Summary: To whom it may concern I consider HP products as some of the best , and use them in my architectural office for many years but........my experience to date with this product has me wanting to send it back, I have no idea as to how to load the paper in the trays "properly" and your pamphlet shows nothing, I went and called the HP number given only to wait on the phonr for 35 minutes and then get a women who had no idea of the product, I am sure this will fall on deaf ears...
Summary: The listing represents in "Technical Details" that this printer comes with "scanning" capability. Beware - this is NOT the case. This is just a printer. Very disappointed about having to return it after having spent so much time on it. UDPATE: The seller finally updated its listing to correctly reflect that there is no scanner.
Summary: i used this printer (lightly) since Feb 2013 (now Sep 2012). It worked ok before about a month ago.It started randomly printing garbage and wasting hundreds of paper pages. I called support a few times (expect waiting on hold at least 30 min)and the support was helpful. They are located in Costa Rica. Every time there was a solution that worked for about an hour. Then the printer stars printing garbage again. I am not sure what is the problem.
Summary: I've had excellent luck with previous HP printers, and had high hopes for this one. I setup the printer and ran a simple multi color text page with a list of words down the left side. All looked great. When I printed the page duplex, the color was somewhat faded on the right side. I setup full page color blocks of eack CMYK to see if it was just one color. All four color pages faded to white on the right 25% of the page.
Summary: Followed instructions, but wireless setup did not work. I had to call HP setup for help on the phone now .... Ok, Dan from the HP help desk was AWESOME !!! Couldn't have been nicer and was very competent. Had me running in about ten minutes. Printer is great!
Excerpt: I know how to set up printers. They say this works with Windows 7. I have not seen it work. Windows 7 shows it as set up and set as default printer with a pretty green check. Does not print. I have tried at least 50 times to get it set up using Microsoft answers, HP support (no help - shows how to install....DUH>>>>> install is not working>>>> OK, try to install it from Disc....) I specifically bought this printer because it said it worked with windows 7.
