Summary: This is a great color laser printer for the price. It prints good quality images at great speeds and is what I would call a small to medium business class printer. It does come with a set of toner cartridges but be aware that they are only good for 400 pages. You will need to order a standard set fairly soon depending on your print volumes. Standard cartridges print 2000 pages (color).
Summary: PROS: Fast! This prints a full color page in seconds. CONS: The image is slightly blurry and using the alignment procedure does not improve it. If you want a high quality image this is not the right printer.
Summary: We bought two of these printers for the firm I work at, a relatively small office of around 100 people. The build quality feels cheap, and while it does create good quality prints, two big factors make it unsuitable as an office printer. The biggest problem is the print speed and the efficiency in which it uses its built in memory. Printing a smaller document is no problem as the printer prints in the speed that is advertised.
Excerpt: After years of relying on inkjet printers for our home office we decided to the drop in price for laser printers. One of the issues we had encountered in the past was the lack of reliability of duplexing. The M451dw has been printing one and two-sided reports flawlessly. The colors are good, and the speed is very acceptable. We had learned over time to make sure the paper used matched the intended application.
Summary: Ok first off I should not have to put a large software package on my pc to configure this printer, IT IS A BASIC PRINTER! Second I should be able to just enter the network ssid and password on the printer and be off. But NO! HP makes you install the software then plug in a USB cable which takes about 10min to sync with the printer, oh and the reason I wanted wireless and network the printer is not near a PC!
