Summary: This is not a great small business printer as there is no good way to print envelopes. They have to be fed one by one by hand, which is silly. We had to keep our old printer just so we can load envelopes into it.
Summary: Printer arrived in a couple of days instead of the estimated week. A pleasant surprise. The setup was straightforward and Windows didn't have a problem. Updating the programs that use the printer was simple. This printer replaced a 10 year old HP printer (4000 series) that I purchased used. I liked the old printer as it just kept chugging along. With semi-regular maintenance, it seemed like it would last forever.
Summary: Printer works well as advertised. Our only problem is a firmware bug associated with the selection of pre-printed paper. The printer always prints duplex. This bug has been documented on several HP printers as long as two years ago. HP has failed to correct this. Our work around is to select bond paper, rather than pre-printed paper (forms).
Summary: I've had several HP laser printers since my first one in 1988, and this is by far the best yet. It is quite fast, and the two-sided printing is great; much faster than my HP P2015dn that this printer replaced. The 500 sheet paper tray is very nice.
After reading the reviews on this guy I had my doubts

Summary: But we have now used this printer for over 5 months now. Granted we only use this printer for pinting MICR checks but so far we have not had any issues with it. My gripes about it are this: 1. The think is noiser than the pit of Hades. Upon warm up, opening closing the tray, and while printing the thing makes this dull yet irritating noise. 2. The printer is huge. Its like having an old 27" CRT or Tube television.
It is solid and dependable, fast and relatively quiet

Summary: I have just finished tax season with this printer. It has performed very well with no issues at all during heavy use. We have commercial Kyocera printer/copiers which get most printing duties but when one of them is down, this printer comes up. My only problem is filling the paper tray continuously since it holds one ream of paper. But I am not complaining when it can stand up and take it like it has so that the office doesn't come to a standstill when a printer is down.
