HP LaserJet P3005

5 February 2011
  • Summary: The HP LaserJet P3005 is a great mono laser printer for small- and medium-sized offices, but it's expensive. We think Lexmark's E350 series offers a better value.
  • Pros: Fast prints; good print quality; very low per-page cost; lots of support options.
  • Cons: Expensive.

A functional behemoth.

  • Summary: The LaserJet P3005x offers a huge amount of features, so it can deal with a wide range of situations where delivering good quality mono printing is important. Although the P4015n out-specs the P3005x in quality and performance at the same price, the P3005x has enhanced office functionality and is Energy Star certified.
  • Pros: Embedded Web server, fast print times, fantastic print quality, increased paper input capacity, automatic duplexing is standard
  • Cons: Expensive, no way to secure optional cassette tray
