Summary: I have used this printer for 6 years & when I needed another I didn't hesitate. My brother is using the one I just purchased and he is pleased. My first has only needed a replacement fuser assembly I installed myself. $169.00 Excellent value, good speed. Highly recommended.
Summary: I got 262k pages out of my first one and loved every page of it. It saw light use except for a couple of months out of the year where we ran it a lot. The old Samsung printer we had used to fail from heat stress at peak usage times. The old P3005 rarely had a paper jam, much less a more serious problem, until the formatter board went out. Up till that point I absolutely loved this machine.
Cons: Bought two of these. They just kept breaking and did not work. To make it even worse, HP sent me replacements that broke literally within hours of receiving them. This is an absolute disaster on both the product and HP service. Beware Beware
Pros: The paper handling worked well, and the toner cartridge lasted well. I am still using the first one.
Cons: Performance began to be irregular. It was necessary to turn it off and then on to print, and then it would not wake up. It has tended to freeze. The IP address is gone. The formatting board appears to be defective, and there is no response.
Pros: When the printer worked, 15 minutes to 45 minutes between freezing, it was great.
Cons: The Formater board is bad, Had to order a Formatter board, before HP would really talk. Now I have a claim against them with HP customer Relations, but they have not called back. I will have to pursue the issue.
