Summary: Comments about HP LaserJet P2055DN: Been using HP4000 printers for about the past 5 years. Starting having reliability problems and selected the HP2055dn as a replacement based on cost, duty cycle and functionality. The HP2055dn has been in service for about 6 months without any problems, very pleased with the service and toner life.
Summary: Comments about HP LaserJet P2055DN: Purchased this to replace a HP4050 and after entering the same network settings as the old one people were printing to it before I could even look at installing drivers. Saved me half a days work changing printer drivers. It is slower then our HP printers in the $600 range and while alittle noise it is actually quiter then our $600 HP's. Just purchased a second one.
Summary: I bought this to replace a Laserjet 5P which I had been using for a decade, it was still working but no support under Windows 7. The new printer doesn't feel as solid but it has worked extremely well. The print quality is good, it doesn't jam and it's compact and quiet. The only thing I don't really like is the rear exit "straight through" tray for printing card and envelopes - it's a stupid little flap not big enough to hold even a small envelope, so anything you print...

Summary: My experience with this printer is good. The speed, quality and features are excellent and appreciable. But, the built-up of this printer is somewhat inexpensively using low quality materials.
Summary: Bought this as a home office printer. Easy to set up although I had to reinstall the drivers after I installed an Epson colour printer which caused the HP to issue errors and stop printing. Once I had reinstalled the HP drivers everything was fine. Print quality and speed is excellent. Duplex with A4 is very good but for A5 you have to lift the first side of print off the top and manually feed back into the printer which was a little disappointing.
Summary: The printer seems to be of good build but is very noisy in a small three person office. It seems a little random in some of its activities ie stops and starts up again several times through printing larger quantities. The print quality is good and printing is quick. I have only been using the printer for a month so I cant comment on the ink capacity.
Excerpt: "...as you'd expect from a HP printer - good quality, no faded colouring and great alignment. From sending the print message the printer fires up in seconds and prints the file very very quickly. It will handle large print sizes with ease, churning out 50 pages without a problem. Changing toners is a simple as eating chocolate cake! Just a simple pull out and push the new one in with a click. The toners itself last a fair while. I have bought two ...
Pros: robust design, print speed, ease of setup, handling of print queues,
Summary: I second the reviews that note that this is a bit of a noisy printer (even in 'quiet mode'); however, there are no other drawbacks that I've encountered, so this seems like a fair bargain for a fast, network-capable, duplexing laser printer. Quality of output is excellent and seems quite fast to me -- it seems to be coping rather well with my frequent reprints of dissertation chapters as I near completion.
