Summary: At the beginning of the install of the most current drivers downloaded from HP's website an error message was presented which said that the server didn't meet the minimum requirements for the driver, specifically the server was a domain controller. Interesting.
Pros: nice little printer so far. great for a home printer.
Cons: Drivers won't install on Windows Server 2003 that is also a domain controller. Toner cartridge pricing is outrageous. Toner cost is $0.02/page. At my office our larger printers cost $0.002/page.
Pros: prints fast and clean after replacing the toner cartridge that came with the machine
Cons: The toner cartridge that came with the machine cased several dashes to print on each page. Replacing it with a new cartridge solved the issue. Unfortunately, NewEgg would not send a replacement for the toner cartridge that came with the unit. They require I rebox the entire machine and send it in...
Summary: I use this in a home office and put out about 2000 pages/month. AT that volume, I think I need a heavier duty printer - perhaps by a different manufacturer. Also, HP was not helpful in adapting this device to a network that has both XP and Windows 7.
Pros: output speed, reasonably large tray, duplexing ability
Cons: I had an HP Lasejet 2P for 12 years and an HP Laserjet 6P for another 10 years. They were solidly built and performed as well as any competitor at the time they were made. They lasted a decde without needing repairs. This HP model is "disposable." I've had it for a bit over 2 years and it has dev...
Summary: the HP 2015 was SUCH a nice printer! we had 20 or so of them and ZERO problems. Well, HP discontinued them. and replaced it with the P2055dn. What a joke of a printer.
Pros: It's fast, when it works.
Cons: The biggest problem is the lack of Windows 2003 drivers. The HP website says it has 2003 drivers, but when i go to install them, "I'm sorry, we don't support this operating system". I couldn't get this printer to run stable enough for our company. so many user complaints about slow printing, lock...
Summary: The seller sold the product as "used" but in good condition... large scratches down the side and paper tray release spring doesn't catch properly, so you can't reload paper without a real hassle. Not happy... We have 4 others of these printers and they all work brilliantly. Poor seller...
Excerpt: I've recently bought this for my school and have to say I am very satisfied with the printer. I installed it to our main server which took minutes using the software CD. The networked computers all found the printer and our users can easily print to it.
Pros: robust design, print speed, ease of setup, handling of print queues,
Excerpt: We have recently purchased 1/2 dozen of these printers for use in a hospital setting, but we are very disappointed in the printers. They have amazingly slow print cycles and do not wake up from sleep mode. Every day, these printers need to be power cycled or they will not print.
Pros: Nothing positive experienced by me
Cons: Printer will not wake up from sleep mode ! ! !
Excerpt: I just bought this yesterday, and set it up in under 5 minutes, so easy to do. I think it is well worth the money and the quality of print is exceptional. The speed at which the printer prints is very quick, i was amazed at both the speed and the quality of the product.
