Summary: Initially the print was way too light. Apparently this is a known problem. As HP will tell you, you simply have to print a few hundred sheets, and the print darkens up. Kinda lame, especially as it uses about 10% of the life of the expensive toner cartridge. After that, it worked very nicely for quite some, almost a year. Then one day the "paper jam" light came on.
Summary: Comments about HP Laserjet P2015: This is a great printer if you only want to use black and white. I have used this for many invitation and newsletters and the quality is amazing so I can rely on it for all my black and white printing needs. I like the size and it works great in our workstation. We have a lot of machines so the smaller the better!
Summary: Thos was a replacement for a P2015 I had had for about 6 years. This printer works OK although printing C5 envelopes more error prone than previous m/c. Also rather noiser and has a slight squeak (not sure if mechanical or electrical) when printing.
Excerpt: "Recently bought and installed one of these on the network at work after a recommendation. It was no hassle at all, took about 30 minutes. Havn't had any major problems with it (had it about 3 months now), besides occasionally taking a little while to warm up in the mornings. It won't be recognised by the network for up to 15 mins, and the printer queue builds up. (This may be a netowork issue, but it's the only one of 6 printers on the network ...
Summary: We needed a printer fast for our office and chose this one because it was fairly cheap. On all the computers bar one it worked really well and was easy to install with a great visual guide of how it works on the CD. Felt like an expert as soon as it was ready to go. However, had problems setting it up on a computer that runs Vista. CD didn’t work and even the download form the HP site was tricky too.
