Beware! It breaks down suddenly. What happened to HP?

I've had perhaps five HP printers, deskjets over the years. I moved up from a 1300 for the duplex option and quicker printing. It worked fine for a year. Then it stopped. The jam light and other lights blink or stay on constantly even where no paper is jammed, new toner is installed, etc. To my shock, searching the net, I found that this is common. This printer was exactly what we needed for the little space next to the officejet. The officejet all-in-one is great, except for mass printing, so we needed one just for that. It's fast and efficient, the cost per page was also low, but does not have a duplex printing option. Read more
