Summary: This printer was purchased to replace a HP Deskjet 6500A Plus and so far I am very impressed. My former printer constantly dropped it's connection to the WiFi network and it used color ink to create black when printing from AirPrint. I was constsantly having to turn it on and off to connect. This new unit is much better. The Monochrome Laser is very economical for everyday use and fits my needs well.

Summary: I love it. The wireless feature is awesome so you can print from your iPhone or Android with the HP Print App, or any computer that is connected to the same WiFi network. You can also print to it remoteley from anywhere in the world by attaching any supported document to an e-mail address that you create through HP on their @HPePrinter.com server. Or, if there is no attachment, the printer will print the body of the e-mail. This is a totally awesome and fast printer.
Excerpt: I purchased this printer based on good reviews from Consumer Reports, and with the hopes it would be Mac friendly. I also like that Staples stocks the toner cartridges in store.Soo... I am no computer genius. The printer installed quickly and easily for wired use. The wireless installation was more difficult. Still, the printer is now working on WIFI with downloaded drivers. (I don't have an easily accessible CD drive.

Summary: I purchased this printer refurbished in 2011 for only $50!! It has worked great since then. I always have had problems with printers- both cheap and expensive ones. Every once in a while this printer doesn't print, but I found out these rare errors are software related. Re-plugging the printer cable into the computer always fixes these issues. No need to troubleshoot or re-install software.
Excerpt: I really like my new office printer. It is exceptionally fast, has nice print quality, was easy to set-up, and is WiFi compatable. It is really convenient to be able to print e-mail messages from my smart phone.
Summary: I read the review about being careful about following the instructions for wireless install, so I tried to pay close attention. Had a little conflict between Win7 auto-install and the autorun on the CD initially, but I got that figured out and the rest of the install was a snap. I did have to use the USB to do the wireless install because of the style of router I have. I got this printer because my HP Laserjet 1100 (bought in 1999) was dying a slow death.
