Summary: PurchaseD this model as it has dual paper trays and color printing. Found out that the machine does not even come close to printing actual colors. HP sent a replacement with exact same problem. After hour and hours on the phone, HP admitted there was a problem with this model and offerd to buy it back, even though I didnt buy it from them. I wasted numerous hours with this model. WARNING TO EVERYONE...STAY AWAY FROM THIS MACHINE..
Summary: July 2014 Printer still going strong. Ended up getting a Black cartridge but use this color printer sparingly. Continues to work flawlessly through the same printer servers I have had all these years. Works with XP, 7, 8 and 8.1 (No Mac tests yet!) UPDATE: Been a year since I owned this printer and it performs very well. Print primarily journal articles and never had a problem. Get the extra paper tray if you can afford it.
Summary: Comments about HP LaserJet CP2025X Printer: HP LJ CP 2025X is the duplexing version in this printer family. It includes two trays. Printer is reasonably fast and quiet. Price matches overall quality -- the printer at [$] was a good deal.Toners: One new set of toners costs about the same as the original printer. [$] versus [$].Plan on some extra effort to install Windows 7 drivers. Printer operates on PCL 6.
Summary: Ordered HP CP2025X Color LaserJet Printer -- Got HP CP2025DN Color LaserJet Printer. Set it up using my XP Professional software on my desktop computer and it was fine, then set it also for my Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on my laptop, which is what I use all the time. I only use the desktop computer rarely. The laptop would not accept the setup disk. We had to go to the HP site and download drivers for the it. Needless to say, the automatic duplexing DOES NOT WORK.
Summary: Bought this to replace an older Laserjet 3500 model. This printer gets the first page out a LOT faster and is much quieter for use in an office. Of course the toner prices are outrageous, but you can choose remanufactured toners if those work for you. The duplexer works GREAT, but also slows the printing process down considerably. Overall I like it a lot.
