$3 and won't be burned again! By the pundits deriding this printer...
18 August 2012
Summary: A miracle printer. A $150 HP LaserJet 4200n with $150 cartridge failed in multiple ways and wouldn't return from the dead. Got a 6P for $3, and even after replacing 2 or 3 plastic pieces won't cost near $300. I tried it the pundits way, and got burned on many occassions-the 4200n being the applicable one here. Bought a 4000N and this 6P, and am thrilled as punch. A miracle in a cute as a button case. Who cares if it doesn't have USB?
Summary: It's an old but reliable printer. I have several of these installed on my shop floor. It's a very dusty environment (autobody shop) and these printers keep working when others usually fail after about 6 months.
Great printer for making LOTS of B&W prints on a budget

Summary: This is my 3rd used 6p. They are fast and ultra reliable for printing proofs and making print adjustments to documents. The toner lasts forever and is very economical. The default connection is the old style printer cable but I have been using a USB adapter with much success.
Summary: The most reliable workhorse in the shop. Never a jammed paper, never a problem. I have it at home and also about 10 at work installed on workstations, excellent everywhere. Can also be connected to USB port, but the cable/adapter must be right, not every one works. More memory can be installed, it's very cheap.
