Not a Good Purchase

Amazon Customer, Amazon
11 October 2014
  • Summary: Klunky and time consuming to operate the scanning function. Takes forever to scan. I ended up buying a Fujitsu Scansnap and love it. The Scansnap is a dream. The Laserjet 500 is now just a very expensive paperweight that takes up a lot of space as it has a huge footprint and is very heavy so I won't be moving it soonl Very sorry I bought this.

Printer is Refurbished

Judy, Amazon
12 May 2014
  • Summary: We just bought this printer for our office and as soon as we began to use it, the copies were coming out unclear and too light. It was strange that the printer did not come with an instruction manual, only an installation guide. We contacted HP to find out if we were doing something wrong. We were told that the printer is refurbished so it may not have been adjusted properly when it left the factory.

Great unit for small offices!

Bob, Amazon
20 November 2013
  • Summary: Great unit for small offices or workgroups. We have several and our offices love them. Also good in areas that are too far away from the central copier (Also an HP MFP) -- such as the warehouse. The Scan to Email is a favorite feature - either to send the document to ourselves (and forward to a client) or for inter-office mail. The unit can use LDAP to look up e-mail addresses in Active Directory so you can just type a few letters of the name in the "To" field.

Good unit

David J. Snetsinger "Snets", Amazon
15 May 2013
  • Summary: This is my 2nd one - UPS smashed the first one - it was no trouble returning it - there is no (guessing at the spelling) twayne scanning available on this - in other words, you have to initiate the scan from the unit - not from the computer but it saves it to a file on your desktop - I'm surprised - a hundred dollar all in one unit will do that - this was meant for a work group and I'm a single user so maybe there's some security reason that they have it that way.

HP All In One Printer

Gerald Kaufman "Gerald Kaufman", Amazon
27 April 2013
  • Summary: A really nice addition to our tax office. We are really cramped for space and this machine replaces a copier, printer, and scanner. We really like the speed of copying and printing with virtually no long warm up times. Very easy to set up and use.

Excellent Value for Med Duty Professional Office

Chris, Amazon
30 November 2012
  • Summary: We decided to purchase this copier for my wife's small law office. We had an aging Ricoh Aficio 2035 that was rated at35 ppm. It has over 250,000 copies on it, and the repair bill to service it to restore to clear copies was $1,000 parts and labor. Parts alone was $400 for the photo drum and service kit bought in discount. All that to say this MFC Printer is replacing a Ricoh copier rated at 35ppm with a duty cycle of 80,000 copies a month.
