Summary: This is a great printer and the seller was amazing. I was looking to replace my printer with the exact same model so I would not have any trouble with hook up and this did the trick. Great price, great shipping and great tech service for set up.
Summary: I bought 2 of these used printers because I have others in the office which have been rock solid for years. These refurbished printers have been performing well for us for a month but I haven't had enough time on them to determine if they will hold up as I expect them to. However, I have no reason to doubt that they will hold up. Even if they don't last as my others have, the price was very good. I feel that I have gotten a solid printer for a throw-away printer price.
Summary: I purchased this refurbished printer to replace our old, broken-down 4250, since it actually cost less to buy this than to have the old one repaired. It has been in use in our office for a few weeks and so far, so good! It seems to be working as it should and, upon calling the company due to a setup problem I was having, they were very efficient at getting back to me to offer help.
Summary: the machine is great but the setup was very diffucult.the machine jet direct card was not reset and Hp no longer offers a jet direct card or software. the fire wire port was broken. had to pay an IT tech 350 to get the printer working.
Pros: Super fast, big compatibility (using from 98 to Vista), very cheap toner ($0,007 cents per page), easy paper refilling, big paper trays (total up to 3100 sheets), has a sensor to check if the output bin is full
Cons: Makes alot of noises, and when it starts printing you hear booms (varying from 1 time to 10 times)
Pros: This printer is amazingly fast--even from sleep mode, as commented earlier. Cartridge is very high-capacity, explaining seemingly high price. Optional accessories allow this printer to do everthing but make your martini--including duplex printing.
Cons: The "Cancel Print Job" function is a bit tedious--but it WILL work if you follow the directions--I've used it many times myself. You might be able to blame the slow cancel on the HIGH memory capacity--but is this really a bad thing?
Pros: If you love piece of **** printers then this one being a complete piece of **** should work for you.
Cons: Well, its a piece of ****. God forbid you should need to cancel a large print job, because if you use the "cancel job" option in this printer's menu it will continue to print every page of the job with funky symbols on the paper.
Summary: As others have noted, this printer is ridiculously fast. Even when it's hibernating in sleep mode, it only takes about 10 seconds for it to wake up, and start printing. It's an extremely reliable workhorse- I've printed at least 20-30,000 pages to mine without a single paper jam. All I do is refill it with paper, and the occasional printer cartridge. Only downside- no duplexing on this particular model.
