HP4240n printer

Sue, Amazon
27 September 2013
  • Summary: We ordered the HP4240n printer to replace our existing model which was not working properly. The new (used) one received promptly and very well packed. It was clean and came with instructions for setting up. We were very pleased with the condition of the printer and had no problems setting up (with the help of our IT person). So far, it works great !

Small business workhorse - 1000's of trouble-free pages

Frank Edema "photo moto", Amazon
28 April 2010
  • Summary: This printer is the least expensive true enterprise level, network ready, black and white only laserjet. I find it a great value for my small business. Easy set-up, trouble free performance, reliability, durability. Low cost per page. We print about 5000 pages a month from our entire network to this printer. Set up is easy for persons familiar with network printers.

Excellent printer for small business. Especially with the price drop

M. Su "More Dessert", Amazon
2 March 2010
  • Summary: I got this printer about 5 yrs ago as our main office printer. At the time, it cost $1200 each. We print about 300 sheets a day. After 5+ yrs of abuse, it's still working like a charm, never did a tune up or repair on it. We don't even use factory cartidges, and it still works perfectly fine. Now at $699, it's a great deal, got a 2nd one to split up the workload. Usage is about 1000 sheets a day, so splitting it up works perfectly.

Ford Henry, Amazon

  • Summary: My company has owned the 4200 model for several years with zero problems. We've only had the new model for one month and have had no problems so far. We are still using the old model in another capacity. These are great business printers.

very nice

frankdog, Amazon
25 October 2009
  • Summary: This is very similar to the hundreds of 4200dtn's that are scattered all over my workplace. They are very fast machines, and this one is essentially just as fast. Print jobs start almost instantaneously, and print very quickly. (An occasional website will require a bit more time to print, but very unusual.) This is very Mac compatible, and seems to be more "it just works" on the Mac than with the PCs at work. (My workplace is mostly PCs with some Suns.
