Summary: I bought this printer as a replacement for an identical one that finally wore out. It arrived missing the network card which then took another couple weeks to receive. That card was defective also and I am still awaiting re3solution to this problem.
Summary: We have had a 4200 since September 2003 when it was purchased to print daily business reports and monthly billing statements. We have been pleased with its speedy printing and with its excellent print quality. On the down side, we have a LOT of trouble with paper jams.
Summary: This is the printer I use at my office, and have never once been disapointed with the results; crystal clear printing at a very high speed. Easy to use and even easier to troubleshoot with the screen feature serving as your "help" manual.
The best printer a home office can have-even used!

Summary: OK, I love the 4200n. It is called "Lucky VIII", due to a laser printer naming convention in our house. I needed a second generation HP LaserJet 4000 Series printer for one task that you wouldn't believe me if I said it, so it will go unsaid.
Summary: Prior personal lasers (all HP)- 4ML, 5L, 1100, 1012 before this workhorse 4200. Superceded by 4300 recently (HP refresh 70% of printer range every 2 years!)- so some mega discounts available- (...
Summary: We needed to replace a similar laser printer we've had for years that finally quit working correctly. We decided to get the exact same model (no longer being manufactured) because our Unix server and software is configured for it already. This printer looks like new, even though it was refurbished!
Summary: The printer works great and has no problems. It has the built in envelope feeder and bypass tray, so there are no extra parts to purchase. Printing quality is clear and a good quality. No lines or excess toner on the paper. The only complaint deals with programming.
