Summary: it's 4000n not 4000 in the first place. I had to clean it even before we tried the printer-bread or cookie crumbs, body hairs and lots of dirt. each try it printed one page only (I tried at least 3 papers from different sources). It was like a purchase from Craig's list but not amazon. Paid $74 for return shipment just to get rid of it so it will not be seen in the office by the others. Something refurbished again, Never!
Summary: The printer works great. I had a little problem at first when connecting it. The package didn't come with any cables. Lucky, I still have my old one (15 year old), I hope this one will last for a few good years.
Summary: Printer was delivered timely. The 4000 printer is in good shape and working well. The problem is the photo of the printer shows a double drawer printer and what I got was a single drawer 4000 printer!
The best business printer for 1997-1999, and worth the cost then or now!

Summary: I chose this rating because of the key fact that when you use it with contemporary computers, it is everything the HP LaserJet P4015n is to Windows 7/Mac OS X Lion, including being able to accept an envelope feeder, able to use 2 toner cartridge sizes, able to accept a second 500 sheet main input tray, able to work with a duplexer, but the differences are we like our vintage computers to have a printer that can exceed their expectations and therefore ours (we have so...
Da Bomb, Da Keeper, Da Lock, Da Big Cheese, the one printer period!

Summary: It's a freaking miracle. Bought a used duplexer, a used HP JetDirect J3111A for Older Mac compatibility as well as ThinNet Ethernet and a second twisted pair port (had an 8000 N that I spilled Coke in and couldn't afford to repair) and with the spare 8MB module from the 8000 N had everything you could ask for except a third paper tray, which like the printer itself minus toner (the brand X toner it came with failed promptly), duplexer, and the J3111A card was an eBay...
Summary: I am writing to ask anyone in this forum if they have problems printing with this unit. I have owned mine as a "hand-me-down" from a family friend who bought this unit new, then downsized their business to work from home and just didn't need it anymore. It worked great every day. I have had the same toner in since 2010 with this one showing no signs of running out yet. Then, suddenly there were several Windows 7 updates came through, the printer stopped working.
Summary: This printer is for the home office with tons or printing. I am saving a boat load of ink by having this second printer in the home. The smaller ink cartridges are expensive and only last a few hundred pages. This printer with ink cartridge will print 10,000 pages without blinking an eye. Thank you.
Summary: After 14 years, our printer gave out. Since I figured it would cost at least 80 bucks for the printer guy to just look at it, we bought this refurbished model. It is the same model as our old one, which I loved. So far, it has printed several reams of paper with absolutely no problems.
Summary: This is a good machine if purchased new. I have had one for years. It has over 500K prints under its belt and is still going strong at my office. Hence the five stars for the product. I purchased the used one for home since the new printers just don't seem to hold up very well. The seller (santechusa) sent me three separate machines. The first one had some loose parts in it that the seller believes were due to the shipping.
