Summary: the printer is okay; once i figured out that i cannot use the tray and everything has to be fed through the front feeder, it works fine, i just wish i had the option to use both. the tray continues to misfeed and jam if it is used, and it doesnt recognize that there is paper in it most of the time. the perils of buying a used product..
Reliable, Precise, and Durable Printer for Home or Office
7 November 2013
Summary: I came into my job as a university administrator three years ago, and this printer was sitting at my desk. It powers through large print jobs quickly and with precision, and has not required any kind of maintenance (other than replacing the toner cartridge) in the three years I have been using it. During times when the office was being renovated or was otherwise unavailable, I dragged this thing home. It's heavy, so I would not recommend that!
Summary: I bought this printer to print papers and things for school. It's fantastic! It prints like no other, it sits under my desk and takes whatever I throw at it. It prints all my papers and my friends papers, and it NEVER runs out of ink. I red somewhere that it gets 12,000 pages per toner and the toner is really cheap! I'll add an amazon link in a bit!
Summary: This is one great printer. It is basically the older version of the P3005 and now P3015 series, but they do use different cartridges. I am very happy with my printer and did add an additional 128mb of memory and it handles the print jobs efficiently and quickly. I have no issues or concerns and am still on the second cartridge since the original cartridge as it just seems to go and go.
Summary: HP hit a home run with this printer. They are work horses! We have had 6 in our office [3 still work hard everyday]. This printer exceeds the stated printer live significantly. As long as HP printer cartridges are used the machine runs flawlessly.
Summary: Absolutely loved the auto duplexing feature, I print a lot of large manuals and having a printer that can print quickly and can duplex without interruption is a real bonus. A couple of quick tips for folks that might buy one of these used, first thing I recommend is that you update the firmware, particularly if you want to use it with Windows 7. You can update the firmware very easily from HP's website. After updating mine I've had no problems whatsoever.
