Excerpt: The HP Laserjet 2100 black and white printer is pretty much what it might claim to be. We use this printer at our office and have it hooked up to 3 computers. It is very box like and generic in shape, and is quite large a little to …
Summary: I picked up my HP Laserjet 2100 at a flea market for $5.00 around 2001 or so and it has served me well ever since, including the toner cartridge. I was able to find a post script level 2 personality chip for the printer used for $8 including shipping, so it can serve my mac printing as well.
Summary: I believe it has been close to a year since I purchased this item. At first I was having a little problem with it and so I called the company. They were very helpful and it has worked perfectly since then. I use it for work and print between 100 and 200 pages each week. It works like new!
Summary: I purchased a brand new 2100M in 1999, and have gone thru multiple toner cartridges. I have never had it serviced, but it does need a new fuser after so many years of use. I did buy a serial-to-usb cable from the start because I was told it did not have a usb port.
Summary: The printer did not completely match the description. It did not have a USB port, therefore I had to buy a parallel to USB conversion cable in order to use the printer. Otherwise the printer works great.
Summary: The HP laserjet 2100 arrived in good time and working. The paper feed that was a problem on a 2100M was broken differently. The paper tray supplying paper did not work at all. The single sheet feed works well. It was a PCL printer and not a Postscript printer, but I worked around that no problem.
Summary: I have been very disappointed with the printer I purchased. I continue to have severe ghosting when printing. At this point I am going to take it in for service. Starting to think this was not such a great buy after all.
Summary: I must admit to begin that I did not completely read the fine print of the description. It did state that the printer came with NOTHING in the way of cables, instructions, drivers or toner. On the good side: the machine DOES work as a copier - not connected to any computer.
