Summary: I bought this to use at work. We need a printer that will print a nice large solid negative on velum. It works OK for now but becoming outdated with every software update. I received this item with some of the plastic frame broken and more keeps breaking off. Was not able to determine if it was shipping damage. The damage does not affect the function so I was not concerned. Still pretty good for an old used printer.
Summary: Watch what the description says. Description said works with windows 98, (not) went to hp's site for driver download and no driver listed for win98, also description says "comes with cd" NOPE, no cd for drivers in the box.
Summary: i've bought 2 of these, used, so they were excellent value. i can leave it on for months and months with no trouble. i had to upgrade the ram from the default, but i'm still struggling with it sometimes (using windows 7). that's why i'm rating it 3 stars instead of 5. nevertheless, for the price, this duplex laser printer is worth it. i would purchase again.
Summary: Refurbished printers were a good deal, but I felt shorted as these were the first refurbished HP's that I have purchased that came without toner cartridges. I feel that should have been noted in the auction description.
Summary: The price was great on this printer and it shipped right away. I was intending to use it for my whole office, but that plan didn't work as well as I wanted it to. I felt like I was replacing toner too often and the print, with a little rubbing, flaked off. Later I purchased a HP LJ 5200 and saw a vast improvement. It is a much more expensive machine, but I am sure that the toner we save will pay for the difference.
Summary: I've used HP printers for many years from the Laser II. But this time I wasn't paying attention to the design since I didn't understand till I bought the machine that I couldn't feed paper like the older models, that is, you could say take a stack of checks and put them on the manual feeder and pay bills. You can't do that now. You can only manually feed one piece of paper at a time. I guess I'll have to buy the module for a second tier of printing.
Summary: I recently bought this printer to upgrade from my HP Laserjet 6MP. I also own a Laserjet 1200n. I purchased this printer as my Laserjet 6MP always needed to have fonts downloaded to it, and that was getting to be a problem. The installation and set up of this printer was pretty easy - I connected it directly to ethernet TCP/IP network without a problem.
Summary: The print quality is excellent, and time to first page print from cold-start is very short. I love the duplexing on this unit and the ability to print 2 & 4 up. My main complaint about this printers is the manual feed function. Basically, I think the 1320 has some fundamental design flaws with regard to manual feeds. I can now do envelopes reliably with the method described below, but feeding standard letter-size paper is still an iffy proposition.
