Summary: I primarily bought this printer for use as a network printer, and to go along with my LaserJet 1200 which is a "work horse" for me. The parts are interchangeable if needed. The printer had a broken paper bin as stated in the product description, but I don't recall that the product description mentioned a cracked case. The packing seemed ample to protect the printer from damage, and the box didn't indicate any reason to expect damage.
* Great Quality 1200 DPI; Relatively quiet; Very Economical Toner Use *

Summary: I bought an HP 1200 about 10 years ago after killing 2 HP inkjets within 18 months. This printer is a fabulous, little workhorse. The print quality of text rivals any higher-end HP printer that you'd usually find in an office, such as Model 2025, although it doesn't do auto-duplex printing. While printing of graphics isn't as crisp, I need a printer for text and wanted a "printer only" machine as a backup when the "all in one" goes into the shop one more time.
Summary: Works just like I need it to. Refurbished or not I have used this model printer for several years. After mine became to cost intensive to repair I purchased this refurbished model for less than the cost of a toner cartridge.
Summary: I own 2 of these printers! One for home office and one for the plant. These are the best printers I have ever owned! The office printer uses one toner every 2 years and at $45 each that is a cheep print. I was using an ink jet printer before and was using $45 ink per month.
Summary: It replaced one that was 6 years old. Just died from overuse. This was a replacement to a networked one with 25 PCs. Didn't want to uninstall and reinstall a new printer model on 95 PC. This plugged in and ran. Large printer cartridge takes some 3000+ pages to run out. Then shake the cartridge for another 200+ pages.
