HP LaserJet 1020

  • Summary: The HP LaserJet 1020 is a good deal for home users who have light print needs, but just a little bit more money can get you more features and better print quality.
  • Pros: Very inexpensive; good text quality; print costs are low; manual feed tray for one-off prints.
  • Cons: No built-in duplexer; not network-ready; graphics print quality needs improvement.

HP LaserJet 1020

PC Magazine

  • Conclusion: This personal monochrome laser takes up as little space as a typical ink jet and delivers excellent text at a reasonable speed. But the 150-sheet paper capacity makes it a poor choice even if you print as little as 50 pages per day.
  • Pros: Small size. Excellent text by any measure. Reasonably high-quality graphics and photos for the price.
  • Cons: Low paper capacity, at only 150 sheets.
