Could not obtain the driver for the machine to connect to the computer so therefore the machine was worthless.

Summary: Apparently this model is a few years old and HP no longer supports the driver you need to have your computer speak to the printer. Therefore the printer is worthless. When you advertise items like this you should also indicate whether or not the driver is still available. If it isn't then only people who already have the driver would want to purchase this. I should really receive a full discount. It cost me nearly $100 and it was completely money down the drain.
Summary: I had a HP LaserJet 1020 for over 6 years that cost me the same price. When it finally died I wanted something that could use the same cartridges (I had a few left) and this was it. I set it up and it worked just fine with OSX 10.8 (via automatic update through the app store).
Summary: I bought a HP desktop seven years ago. The day after the warranty expired, I called in a problem that had been chronic. HP refused to honor its warranty and instead sent me to India, where people were in training. Ultimately, they convinced me to reformat the disk even though I was convinced it was a hardware problem. They didn't advise me to buy a new disk, which I should have done. I had been using the hp backup utility.
Summary: Beautiful print even with cheap paper and lowest dollar toner cartrige. I use Windows XP and this printer works with XP. If I want to upgrade to Windows 7 I'll need to find another favorite printer. The fuser on my last 1012 gave up the ghost. I'm not going to leave this printer turned on all the time and maybe the fuser will last longer. I'm a novelist and the 1012 will print a book for one of my friends to review in a few minutes. I love it.
